Eagle wearing Hood

As I have said before, it is so easy to make a hawk to the hood when it is introduced at the right moment.

It does also help to have a hood that is an excellent fit, without that you are on a “hiding to nothing”.
By pure luck I found Frank Lenders from Holland at one of the Falconers Fairs. His unique hood which is a take from the Kazakh style with an European split back fitted with braces was at the time the best hood on the market.

G’Kar liked it, and as you can see from this photograph, when a hawk tucks one leg up whilst hooded it is a fairly good sign that all is well and comfortable.
